Statement of Faith

What We Believe

About God

We believe there is only one true God; but manifested in three persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is God with the Father and the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19, 1 John 5:7, John 1:14, 18)

About  Jesus

We believe that Jesus was born from the Virgin Mary by the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe He was crucified and rose from the dead on the third day. We believe in the physical, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe His coming is imminent.
(Matthew 1:18-24, John Chapters 19 - 20, Acts 1:9-11, Matthew 25:31, I Thessalonians 4:16-17)

About The Holy Spirit

The infilling of the Holy Spirit gives a believer power to be a witness for Christ. We believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God, received by faith, as a separate experience apart from salvation.
(Matthew 3:11, John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Acts 8:14-17, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:1-6)

About The Bible

Infallible, authoritative Word of God. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct.
(II Timothy 3:16-17, I Thessalonians 2:13)

About Human Beings

We believe man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God. Through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world and death was the result. Man is spiritually dead and separated from God. Jesus Christ, the Son of God was sent to give His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the law. It is by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved.
(Romans 5:14, Romans 3:10, Romans 3:23, I John 3:8, Ephesians 2:8)

About Salvation

Jesus said every person must be born again. We believe that God does not desire anyone to perish, but that everyone would come to repentance and be saved. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts.
(John 3:16, II Corinthians 7:10, I John 5:12, John 3:3-5, Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 2:16, 3:8, Romans 10:9-10)

About Healing

We believe healing for the physical ills of the human body is available by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every member of the church today.
(Mark 16:17-18, James 5:14-15, I Peter 2:24, Matthew 8:17, Isaiah 53:4-5, Acts 8:6-7, 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28, Romans 11:29, Psalm 103:2-3)

About Eternity

We believe that heaven and hell are real places. We believe the one who physically dies without accepting Jesus Christ as Lord is eternally lost; while believers will spend eternity in the presence of God.
(Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 19:20, Revelation 20:11-15, Mark 9:42-48)

About Water Baptism

We believe Jesus commanded all believers to be baptized by immersion in water. This is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.
(Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12, Acts 8:36-39, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38)
